In the Beginning

This is a story about love and hate and all the beautiful and ugly things that happen when the
two emotions come together.
Across all of time and space, countless instances of existence have gone through their creation
and destruction. A multitude of countless eons ago, a being capable of an unlimited amount of
creation came to be. How they came to be is barely understood and what we know is recorded
in the 2,479,002 page document called ‘How The Original First One Came To Be’ (Note: Most of
this information is from pre-existing documents and contains mostly theories). Over a long
period of time, they learned how to create by using the remains of previous existences, learning
how to create life that they could fully endow with free will. Their reasons for creation are
unknown, all that is known is that only around a calculated 0.0000000000000000217% of
beings in our universe could possibly have had even the smallest of contact with them (the
amount who know or understand anything about them is much smaller). Only one of them has
been tracked down yet and translations have still been ongoing across the last 1265 years.
After a long period of learning about their capabilities, this being, that would later be known as
the First One, decided to actually create the next instance of existence. They created a single
world from the remaining materials of the previous instance of existence that would iterate
across itself by creating a new dimension every time a different outcome could occur in any
given situation. This would become, as it is understood today, the multiverse.
However, their first attempt became a failure when the weight of too many dimensions collapsed
in on itself causing the whole attempt to shut down, destroying another instance of existence.
This would happen across several experiments until a more permanent solution was devised. A
barrier that would hold countless reflections of the physical, emotional, and mental states of the
dimension would surround each dimension in a grid pattern, allowing the multiverse to hold itself
together while cohesively iterating upon itself continuously.
However, there was a new but fixable problem, several glitches were noticed across their
multiverse. Anomalies, things getting misplaced randomly, things that shouldn’t exist suddenly
popping into reality. Thus, they devised to create an organization that would keep the
multiverse’s glitches from overcoming too much of the multiverse. Their first action for this
organization was to create their first proper being endowed with free will called the Second One
who was assigned to hire other exceptional beings with free will who had recently died to form
the organization that would be known in our time as the Fixers.
Then, the First One started filling its multiverse with beings endowed with free will, leading to the
successful creation of this iteration of existence. Across the years, the Fixers have requested
several changes to the way that the multiverse works.
The first of which was The Cracks which would not only house the organization but would also
allow them to quickly traverse across the multiverse. Next, the Second One needed an easier
way to hire members of their organization. The solution was to hold the deceased souls in a
place where they could rest in between lives during The Cycle. This place would be known as
the Waiting Room and would allow the Fixers to quickly grab potential members of the
organization. Finally, several manipulations and additions were added to The Layers in order to
more easily accomplish some of the Fixers’ goals. Other small miscellaneous and other
unimportant changes and updates were made as well over time.
After about 7.99 billion years the First One and the Second One were murdered by two
members of The Fixers who disagreed with how the multiverse was conducted and thus took
over to make their own changes. This has led to a long cycle of deicide and takeovers across
this iteration of existence. Several members of the Fixers make bets on the next members who
could take over for either of these positions (I use this term loosely). One of the most popular
bets between me and my buddies is on a human named Dr. Alexandria Fritz. She just had her
position amongst the Fixers stripped 20 hours ago.
